It's not just me who faces it; many people often are confronted with deadline after deadline, responsibility on top of responsibility, that it becomes easy to forget when the little things are past due. Clearly for me that meant not posting until a little over two years later. Props to me- a perfect example of life carrying me away.
Speaking of getting carried away- it's the reason why I can't trust myself to maintain a schedule. Whether it's updating my books on Wattpad and Radish or maintaining a work out regime, I clearly fail at keeping myself in check. I'm going to be frank with you here. I completely suck are constraining myself to time slots. I'm the type of person who, if there is a deadline, will probably exceed it just because it's there and it intimidates me enough to give it the biggest middle finger by breezing over it.
At the same time, I also have a life. Writing isn't my main priority (though it is my favorite hobby). I'm in still high school, still getting my education. I'm enrolled in a program in which students get their Associates degree when they graduate high school, which means a lot of strain on my mind. Even now in the summer, I'm taking college classes so that my senior year, I'll have more wiggle room. It's hard to stay motivated and remember to write or post when I have (no offense!) more important things to worry about.
I don't want you guys to think that I don't care- it's why I made this post in the first place. I want you to realize that I'm just a normal high school girl who does writing for fun. I'm not a full time writer who lives in a house by myself and types away from dusk till dawn (thought I wish that could be more. Maybe with a couple of cats). But I just want to let you know that I do care about my books and the direction that they are heading in, I'm not abandoning just because I don't update often. There's a lot of things going on, and I'm just cramming writing in there for the heck of it.
If I forced myself to stick to a schedule of releasing chapters, you guys would get really shitty, low quality, borderline filler chapters if I wasn't in the mood to write. You don't deserve that. You deserve quality content that applies to the plot, which I'm doing my best to give you guys.
I really hope that you can appreciate the time I invest in Wattpad and Radish and continue to support me, regardless of when I update or my lack of scheduling.
Schedule? I have no schedule. There is no hurry. I work when I want to.
